How licensing works

The 2017 Gambling Act opened the market to EU operators with a Ministry of Finance licence and a Czech-registered company. High taxes and a national exclusion register kept most networks away. A 2024 amendment allowed licensees to serve players abroad, which is why partypoker.cz stayed when others left.

The market

partypoker.cz is the only international room. Fortuna Poker and SYNOT TIP Poker are local brands with Czech-only pools. For most Czech players the live scene matters more: King’s Resort in Rozvadov and the rooms in Prague draw players from across Central Europe.
