How We Rate Poker Rooms

Our editorial policy in plain language: what gets listed, what gets ranked higher, and what commission has to do with it.

Licence is a gate, not a score

A room either holds a valid licence for a country or it does not. Unlicensed rooms are never listed as legal options for that country, regardless of reputation, traffic or the commission they would pay us.

What we score

  1. Game selection and traffic at the stakes most players actually play.
  2. Rake and rewards, measured on a standard session rather than headline numbers.
  3. Software quality on desktop and mobile.
  4. Cashier: deposit and withdrawal methods, speed and limits in local currency.
  5. Player protection tools beyond the legal minimum.

Live rooms

Venue pages are built from the casino’s own published schedule and stakes, cross-checked against tournament tour calendars and player databases. Table counts and stakes are stated as of the verification date on the page. We link to the venue’s schedule rather than copying dates that go stale.

Commission

We are paid by some operators when a reader signs up through our link. This affects nothing above. Rooms that do not pay us are listed and ranked with the same criteria; the “Visit” button simply points to their homepage.
