How licensing works

ADM grants online gaming concessions and a GAD licence number per operator. The 2025 tender replaced every existing concession, which is why licence numbers on this page may differ from older guides. The GAD number is printed in the footer of every licensed site.

The market

PokerStars.it holds roughly a third of cash-game traffic, with Sisal and SNAI as skins on its network. 888poker.it runs its own pool, iPoker.it hosts several betting-brand skins, and People’s Poker remains the largest independent Italian network.

Advertising

The 2018 Dignity Decree bans gambling advertising in Italy, and AGCOM enforces it against affiliates as well as operators. This page lists licensed rooms as information only and carries no bonus offers.

Frequently asked questions

Is online poker legal in Italy?

Yes, with operators holding an ADM concession and a GAD licence number, running on a .it domain.

What changed in 2025?

All online concessions were re-tendered. Fifty-two new nine-year concessions went live in November 2025 at €7 million each, so every room on this page is verified against the new list.

Why can't I play against players abroad?

Italy declined to join the France-Spain-Portugal shared pool. Italian sites are ring-fenced.

Why are there no bonus offers on this page?

Italy’s Dignity Decree bans gambling advertising, and ADM’s 2026 guidance limits affiliate content to purely informational listings. We show what is licensed, not what is on offer.
