City of Dreams Mediterranean is the integrated resort at Zakaki, west of Limassol, and the holder of the Republic of Cyprus’s single casino licence. Its Majestic Casino covers around 7,500 square metres with a thousand slots and roughly a hundred table games, and inside that floor is a dedicated poker room: nine tables plus six more in a private area. Hold’em and Omaha are both spread, and this is the most consistent live poker game in the government-controlled part of the island.
Getting there
The resort is on the western edge of Limassol near the port, about a fifteen-minute drive from the city centre, forty-five minutes from Larnaca airport and thirty from Paphos. There is no rail on the island, so a car or taxi is the way in.
Practical details
The casino runs 24 hours. The minimum age is 21, higher than most of Europe, and identity is verified at the entrance: non-EU visitors should carry a passport. Games are in euros and the tables are run in English and Greek. The resort also operates smaller satellite venues elsewhere on the island under the same licence, but the poker room is here.
