Macau's live poker market has shrunk to a handful of rooms. The Venetian Macao and MGM Cotai are the ones still spreading cash games.

Casinos in Macau are licensed by the government through the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ), under the six concessions granted to the operator groups. Minimum age is 21 for entry and for play, and identification is checked at the door – a passport for visitors, a resident card for locals. Games are dealt in Hong Kong dollars, which circulate here as freely as the pataca.
This list is short because the market is. Poker has contracted sharply since the pandemic: by the end of 2025 there were only around 46 permanent poker tables in the whole territory, and Wynn Macau closed its poker room in January 2026, leaving a handful of venues in operation. Baccarat pays the bills in Macau and floor space is allocated accordingly, so a poker room’s survival depends on the property’s appetite rather than on demand.
Neither venue below has a licensed online counterpart: online gambling from Macau is not licensed, and the concessionaires do not run poker sites.
