MGM Cotai – Poker Room

An 18-table room on Cotai with no-limit hold'em cash games from HKD 50/100 and Macau's largest tournament series.

Verified 10 September 2026

The room

MGM Cotai runs an 18-table room, smaller and quieter than the Venetian’s and laid out as a boutique space rather than a corner of a vast floor. No-limit hold’em is the main game, with action starting around HKD 50/100 and larger games forming on demand, particularly while a festival is in town.

Tournaments

Despite the size of the room, MGM Cotai carries Macau’s most substantial tournament programme. The MGM Poker Championship and the MGM Poker Classic run as multi-day festivals with guarantees in the tens of millions of Hong Kong dollars, and they pull in the regional field from Hong Kong, Taiwan and mainland China. Macau’s advertising rules keep the schedule off the resort’s own website, so dates circulate through the tour organisers instead – we do not reproduce them here.

Getting there

MGM Cotai is on Avenida da Nave Desportiva, next to the Cotai strip’s other integrated resorts and a short walk from the LRT. Free shuttles run from the airport, both ferry terminals and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge border checkpoint.

Practical details

Minimum age is 21, with a passport checked on entry for visitors. Play is in Hong Kong dollars. There is no licensed online poker in Macau, so nothing is linked here.
