The room

Portomaso Casino occupies the lower level of the Portomaso Business Tower, in the marina complex under the Hilton in St Julian’s. The gaming floor covers around 4,000 square metres across several areas, with dedicated poker space that expands into the rest of the venue for festivals. It is the largest poker operation on the island and the only one running cash games seven days a week, with Texas Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha from small stakes up to the high game. Rake is capped, and the casino publishes its own daily tournament schedule.

Festivals

The room hosts The Festival, one of the recurring European low-buy-in series, and its own Diamond Poker Series, and it has previously hosted European Poker Tour stops. The casino was refurbished in early 2026. Dates and guarantees change every season, so we link to the casino’s own schedule instead of copying it.

Practical details

The casino is open around the clock; the poker room opens in the evening for cash. Entry is free and parking underneath the complex is free as well. Registration on the first visit needs a passport or photo ID. Games are in euros, the tables are run in English, and Casino Malta at St George’s Bay is a fifteen-minute walk away if the game here is not running.
