Perla Nova Gorica – Poker Room
The HIT group's flagship casino on the Italian border, with at least one poker tournament every day, weekend cash games and several festivals a year.
Verified 10 September 2026The room
Perla is the largest of the HIT group’s casinos in Nova Gorica and one of the biggest poker providers in this corner of Europe. The room runs at least one tournament every day of the year, with cash games alongside at weekends, on public holidays and whenever a festival is on. Buy-ins across the regular programme sit in the low hundreds of euros, which is the level the local and Italian player base plays at.
Festivals
Several series a year are staged here, run by the casino and by visiting Italian organisers. The venue publishes the current calendar on its poker pages, and that is the only place we link for dates.
Why here
Nova Gorica exists as a gaming town because north-east Italy has no casino of its own, and Perla was built for that traffic: a casino floor, a hotel, restaurants and a spa in one complex, with the border a few hundred metres away. The consequence at the tables is a heavily Italian field and Italian spoken as often as Slovene, though the staff work in English too.
Practical details
The casino floor is open around the clock and the poker room from the early afternoon until the small hours. Registration on the first visit requires a passport or ID card and the minimum age is 18. Games are in euros.
