Borgata Poker Room, Atlantic City

The largest poker room in Atlantic City: an 85-table main room in the Marina District plus a separate BetMGM room, with the Borgata Poker Open twice a year.

Verified 10 September 2026

The room

The Borgata runs the biggest poker room in Atlantic City: around 85 tables over roughly 21,500 square feet on the casino level, open 24 hours. The spread is wider than most rooms on the East Coast, with no-limit and limit hold’em at the core and regular pot-limit Omaha, Omaha hi-lo, stud and mixed games alongside it.

Since September 2025 the property has also operated a second, smaller room of about 18 tables under the BetMGM name. It is a separate space rather than a rebrand of the main floor, and it is used for overflow and for series play when the main room fills.

Tournaments

The Borgata Poker Open is the room’s own series and runs twice a year, in summer and again in the autumn, with satellites in the weeks beforehand. Daily and weekly events fill the calendar in between. We do not copy dates: check the casino’s own poker pages for the current schedule.

Practical details

The Borgata is in the Marina District, about two miles from the Boardwalk casinos, with a free shuttle and its own parking garages. Minimum age is 21 and a government photo ID is required. New Jersey is one of the few US states with regulated online poker, so the same brands are available on a phone anywhere inside state lines.
